17 Sep Health Equity Collaborative joins COVID-19 Vaccination Education effort with special PSA featuring Pope Francis
The Health Equity Collaborative has been pleased to work on an important campaign in partnership with the Ad Council and COVID Collaborative called “It’s Up to You,” “De Ti Depende,” which includes educating and informing Latinos about COVID-19 vaccines. Recent data shows that the United States has more progress to make with COVID-19 vaccinations in the country. Currently, 72% of the American adult population and 67% of Hispanic adults have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with at least one dose.
As part of this effort, we are so thrilled to share with you a new PSA featuring Pope Francis and six Cardinals and Archbishops from North, Central and South America, with a message of unity and hope, to help instill confidence in vaccines all over the world. The New York Times, Telemundo and Newsweek have great stories on this unprecedented initiative.

Thank you all for all your work advocating for, protecting and speaking up for so many in our communities who do not have a voice and do not feel seen, and who have been hardest hit by this ravaging pandemic. We have more work to do to get everyone in our community protected but together we can continue ensuring everyone gets the facts surrounding COVID-19 vaccines and spreading the Pope’s message of hope and unity for our communities.
